Reuse

New is not always necessary. I buy many things used.
Books. I buy used books or check them out of the library. I also borrow books from friends or swap books. I give away my unwanted books to groups and people who want them.

Clothes- Resale shops have wonderful bargains on really good clothes. I go to the DAV thrift store, Salvation Army, humane society, non profit groups and other thrift stores. I own fully lined 100% wool jackets, silks, designer labels and many nice things for which I paid pennies on the dollar.

There are resale shops for just about any item a person might want. This saves green, because the things cost less, and it is going green because things unwanted by someone are being used by someone else.

Garage, yard and tag sales are another way to go green.
